Regularly Check the Status of Your Soul

LESSON 5

To walk in health, mentally, emotionally and physically, we need to daily check the status of our soul, being in touch with what we are most conscious of.

We might find ourselves in double-mindedness, e.g. You are believing with your will that
God will answer your prayers in a certain situation, but you might find that in your sub-
conscious there are doubts, unbelief and fear. That simply means that your heart and
is not in agreement and the Bible states that a double-minded man shall not receive
anything from the Lord.

Offenses, hurts, rejection, misunderstandings, etc. cause trauma in the soul, which results in strongholds in the mind. This will also cause dullness in our spiritual senses.

The Bible states that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. This is the surest way to find out what is in your heart!  Simply take note of what comes out of your mouth!  Write it down, repent, ask forgiveness and pray the healing prayers.

Bitterness can spring up overnight and defile you.

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:  Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.”
Hebrews 12:14-15 (KJV)

The problem is that it has a chain reaction.  Negative experiences lodge in your memory bank, causing negative emotions, negative self-talk (rehearsing conversations in the imagination) and negative attitudes and behavior patterns result.  These negativities in the soul cause stress in the adrenal gland and in the digestive system.  Toxins are released into the body; the immune system is broken down and sickness is the result.

Many years ago the Holy Spirit showed me to the following:

Before going to bed, ask the Holy Spirit to take you through the day, shinning His light and truth into every occurrence that could have a negative effect on your soul.

Let the forgiveness and love of Jesus flow into those areas.  Repent if necessary and ask God to forgive you for any negative actions or reactions.

Choose with an act of your will to loose any rejection, offense, anger, mistrust, trauma, grief, etc. from your soul, taking every thought captive in obedience to Christ.  Bless the people involved with God's goodness and grace.

Hand over any concern or burden to the Lord. (Matt.12:28-30)

Make sure that your heart is in perfect peace, reflecting God's glory!

Take your victory and rejoice in God’s goodness and grace over your life.

Bind the life of God, the light the glory of God to your soul. Receive the grace of God for abundant life.

Then pray in tongues and ask the Lord to speak to you in dreams, communing with you even in your sleep.

Hearing God's Voice for Every Situation

LESSON 6

In Habakkuk 2:1 the prophet chooses to set himself on the watch tower to SEE what God is SAYING.

He was in the situation where he saw iniquity, trouble and violence in his natural surroundings.  He was crying out to God, naming all the negative things. After God replied that He would do astounding things, the prophet still had questions about things he didn't understand.  Isn't this where we often find ourselves?

But the prophet sets the example to us, namely to position ourselves on the watch tower to watch and see what God will say to him, and also to receive correction (if necessary).

Then the Lord answered me and said:

“Write the vision And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry."

Jesus says that His sheep hear His voice, so if you are born-again, that is your birthright!   God wants to speak to His children and make known His ways to them.  So, in the passage we get the instruction of how to go about it:

1) Position yourself in a place of quiet with the intention to watch in order to hear and see what God is saying and doing.
"Be still and know that I am God" (Ps.46:10).
Make it a daily habit and discipline so that you can live from every Word that goes out from the Father's mouth, just like Jesus!

Jesus stated that He only did what He saw the Father doing and only said what He heard Him saying.  This is possible for us too!
When this dawned on me, I stopped trying to figure things out with my own wisdom and understanding. I started to watch and look what God is saying - even in my dreams, in visions, through the Word, through other people, through nature, through His still, small whispers in my spirit.
2) Ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it shall be opened unto you (Matt.7:7).
3) Be expectant and attentive to see and hear God's instructions while you are listening attentively.
4) "Write down the vision".  Keep a journal of everything He shows you and says to you.
How does this work practically?  Simply receive spontaneous impressions, pictures, thoughts by faith and test it by the plumb line of the Word.  Then write it down and pray over it - especially in tongues, asking God to give you the interpretation and make it clear.
5) Declare what God is saying into the situation by faith and keep the expected end of the vision before your eyes.
6) Wait for it to come to pass.  If God said it, it shall surely come in its appointed time!

When God has given us the new picture of His intent, we do not look at the old picture anymore, but wait with faith for the expected end of His good intentions for us and our circumstances. In the meantime we keep declaring His Word over the situation, envisioning the outcome accordingly!

This frees us up from worry, fear and stress and we can live the abundant life with peace and joy, choosing to believe God for His miracle power because He is faithful!
Hallelujah!

This is also the strategy that I use when praying into any situation for myself or for others.  Once you learn to lean into the Holy Spirit, expecting His guidance, you will find how easy it is to see and to hear with your spiritual senses.

There is a free e-book available on my web-site, called "Visionary Tablets", which illustrates this in depth.

The Destructive Path of Offense and How to let it Go!

Lesson 7

"Beloved, I hope you are prospering in every respect
and are in good health, just as your soul is prospering."
Dearly beloved, this is also my passionate prayer for everyone of you, because I know the joy of freedom!
I have seen over and over that when people get offended it brings about a wide open door for the enemy of our souls to come in, steal, kill and destroy.

3 John 2 New American Bible

We can easily take offense when someone has hurt us or treated us unjustly. There are two ways to deal with the offense. First, by remembering that the other person probably acted out of his/her own insecurity.

Offense easily grips a heart when someone feels left out, overlooked or unrecognized.
Comparing yourself with others who are celebrated, leaves you feeling rejected, not good enough, not coming up to expectations.

Many people carry offenses because of perceived injustices regarding the issue of money.
This can steal friendships, cause family splits, etc.
We are called into the ministry of restoration - with God and with man.

Others suffer through false accusations and curses. These are only a few.

The greatest theft in the case of offense is that it always involves the issues of unforgiveness, anger and bitterness, which harden the heart and bring a wall between us and the other person and especially between us and the Lord, blocking our prayers.

Ask the Lord to give you His perspective on the situation and the grace to overcome, breaking the stronghold of offense.

When we overcome by love, seeing the offender's needs, we will no longer have a negative reaction to the offender, but live Jesus to him/her.
Secondly, by remembering that our security is in Christ alone; we do not need to react and defend ourselves, because He has promised to defend us (Isaiah 35:3–4)

The problem is that the result of offense is bitterness, which will cause you to think and talk negatively about the offender.  This will inevitable bring division and further hurt.  But the problem doesn't end there.

When we harbor unforgiveness and bitterness in our hearts, the negative thoughts cause distortive neurons in the brain and toxins are secreted into the body, which will cause sickness in the end.  It is said that all sickness starts in the gut. Sometimes this is a swift path.

In Luke 17 Jesus warns about taking offense and teaches us to forgive.

"Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”

Forgiveness is the antidote for offense! Then let the blood of Jesus heal you and set you free to live in peace and joy!

I have often seen that when people fully forgive their offenders they get healed of different kinds of bodily ailments.

PRAY:  I choose with an act of my will to loose from my mind, memory and emotions any trauma brought about by offense in Jesus' Name.
I bind God's love and forgiveness to my soul, choosing to let go of all bitterness, releasing and forgiving the people involved.
I declare that I am set free from the bondage of offense, the stronghold having been broken in my mind - in Jesus' Name!
I am now walking in the freedom and liberty of the Holy Spirit.

If you have taken offense because of injustice, having been wounded in your soul and finding it hard to get over it, bring it to the Lord and then pray the prayer for healing for your soul.

Prophetic Word: Revelation of God's Mysteries

LESSON 13

When we really want to get deeper revelation about the roots of our issues, the best way to find that revelation comes through praying out these mysteries to God by praying in tongues.

Ask the Lord to give you the interpretation of what you are praying int the spirit. You might even discover the links to other traumas that have formed patterns in your life in returning cycles through generational curses.

Most of the time we do not take these things seriously and even talk about how this always happens in a pattern or cycle  By doing so, we speak the continuation of trauma into our lives without even realizing it.  Remember, death and life is in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat the fruit of it! (Prov.18:21)

These negative patterns can be broken through applying the blood of Jesus and the finished work of the cross to it.

Therefore, while praying in tongues, ask God to reveal His mysteries to you in interpretation and release the glory of God into your situations.  Hallelujah!
