“There is Power in Release!”

Lesson 25

The meaning of the word “release” is very interesting:

1)    Allow or enable to escape from confinement;  set free
2)    Remove restrictions or obligations from someone so that they can be freed up for other activity
3)    Allow something to return to its resting position
4)    In legal matters it means to remit or discharge a debt or to surrender a right.

“Where are you sitting, My beloved?  Where does your mind dwell - on things above or on the earth?  For as a man thinketh in
his heart, so is he.”

Col.1:1-2 “
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of
God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

We all know that our whole life is determined by what we think and where our thoughts dwell – either on negative things or on
the goodness and grace of our God.

When we release the issues that are pressing on our soul, we can ascend into the glory to live above the circumstances with the
perspective of God, seated in Christ to rule and reign with Him through His Word over every situation.

RELEASING the PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE into HIS GRACE and TRUST HIM

Many in the body of Christ, born again and Spirit-filled, walk around with great burdens on their shoulders.  These burdens
mostly have two sources, namely fear and self-power.  We want to be in control of situations and because we fear that things
will not go the way we want them to go, we take up the “responsibility-burden” in order to stay in control of the situation.

When God forgives us, He says that He doesn’t remember our sins anymore (Heb.10:17). We say we forgave, but we do not
RELEASE our negative experience and the people’s unjust acts into FORGETFULNESS; therefore we are still emotionally
reliving the emotional traumas and in the process are captives of our unhealed memories and emotions.  Once we RELEASE
these memories into the grace of God, He heals us with His precious blood through the work of the Holy Spirit and we are freed
up to enjoy our precious inheritance in the glory of His Kingdom.

Whatever you carry on the inside in your memory bank in the form of wounding, regret, reproach or fear is a “something” which
the enemy will find to push your buttons and pull you out of the glory into misery.  Jesus said “the prince of this world cometh,
and hath nothing in me. (Jn 14:30).

Walking in the freedom of a mind that is uncluttered of the debris of the past, NOW filled with the Word of faith with a vision of
hope for our future, causes us to be transparent channels for His glory to flow through.

Many walk in fear of the uncertainty of the future. But the question is, “Where do you live – in fear or in faith?”

II Tim 1:7  “
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

What is ruling your mind (consciously or sub-consciously) will rule your emotions, determine your behavior and attitude and
work through to the cells of your body.   If you walk in fear, you lose your joy and peace and become all tensed-up and stressed
out, and your body will bear the consequences, eventually resulting in sickness and disease.  Walking in the security of the love
of our Father, filled with faith in His promises, releases the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives and our minds will be sound,
emotions will be joyful and peaceful and our bodies will be free of stress in abounding health.

III Jn 1:2-3 “
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. For I
rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.

Before going to bed in the evening, make sure that you release every issue, concern, burden, worry, fear, stress, etc. to the Lord in
full trust and faith. Then ask him to speak to you in your dreams, praying in tongues to settle your spirit in perfect peace in Him.
